MEET OUR PHYSICAL THERAPY TEAM

Dennis L. Prickett, PT

Chief of Operations

Dennis is the operator of Atrium Physical Therapy in Las Cruces. He owns Atrium Physical Therapy with his wife, Elaine.

“I believe that one critical component to achieving optimal treatment outcomes is to provide a treatment environment that promotes healing. The atmosphere in our clinic is designed to do just that – it feels more like home, and smiles are contagious.”

Dennis has a broad base of experience which he brings to this office. His experience includes working in Pediatrics, Acute Care, Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. In addition to operating his private practice for the last 20 years, he has served as department head in Home Health and Skilled Nursing / LTC facility rehab departments.

After 30 years of clinical practice, Dennis has stopped treating patients, and is now focused on Operations at Atrium Physical Therapy.

Anthony Apodaca PTA

Meet Anthony

Tony has lived in Las Cruces 30+ years. Tony received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at NMSU. Although he has a deep interest in research, it was important for him to work more directly with the community. It was not until his grandfather was seriously injured, and told there was little chance he would be able to walk again, did Tony consider a career in physical therapy. His grandfather received physical therapy and had a second chance to walk again. After seeing how PT could make such a tremendous impact in someone’s life, he made the decision to make his next goal obtaining a license as a PTA. Tony enjoys spending time with his family, participating in 5k runs and hiking with his fiancé and son. Tony joined the Atrium family in 2017.

Meet Hector

Philip Montoya

Office Assistant

Philip was born in 1964, but if you ask how old he is he will tell you 14. He resets to 14 every year on Valentines day. He grew up in Encino NM and lived there until he moved to Las Cruces in 2005. He started working at Atrium shortly after he moved. He lives with his sister and brother-in-law, Atrium owners Elaine and Dennis Prickett, and mom. Philip loves going to work everyday where he can help his fellow co-workers. It is not unusual to see Philip dancing with patients and staff. He knows how to cut a rug! He loves to dust and shred paper and gets upset if he does not get to go to work. Philip has introduced his own language into Atrium that are referred to as Philip-isms, many of which you may hear if you listen closely to our staff as they interact with each other. His favorite past times are singing at church, eating out, watching “I Love Lucy” DVDs and playing hide and seek.

Myreya Gomez

Customer Service Representative

Myreya was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM but spent a short time living in Colorado where she discovered she enjoyed the desert more than the snow. She has a strong passion for sports medicine which came about while she was a student athletic trainer in high school. She hopes to obtain a degree as a PTA in the near future and then a DPT as a long term goal specializing in sports related injuries.  “I love seeing the impact physical therapy has on people. I’ve seen people come in with crutches and braces and they leave on their own two feet. It is amazing what physical therapy can do to help you recover from an injury or sudden onset of pain.” Myreya enjoys spending time at the local farmers and flea markets with her family.
